yep... another 3 am upload...

here's the standard color version.

been rather busy for a while, and haven't had the gusto to draw lately. luckily, recently i was listening to Joe Satrioni's "ceremony" song, and my imagination got into music video mode for my story Brim Star, and i created this mech.

this particular mecha, is chiefly and airborne heavy assault machine sporting high output thrusters on the waist, and back. the legs are much less bulky and therefore won't weigh it down when in transit; unlike the Black jack.

there's a surprise "heel Spike" that comes out of the ankle joint block, so when close quarters has been invaded, a quick leg movement can rend a foe into ribbons.

what makes this a heavy assault mech? a set of 3 tube-missile launcher rest on it's hips an shoulders; the hip mounted launchers are facing the rear of the unit, while the shoulder ones face the front.

aside from the units heavy armor, it sports a small remote shield that can split into four sections to increase it's armor where necessary, or to block incoming shots before they arrive.

as far as weapons go, it packs two photon-blades (lightsabers), one hunt knife, and compact sub-machine gun... as secondary arms =J. though, i think that these will be two different secondary weapon sets, since this additional weapon load seems a little too much. i was never one for having a purely "energy" based mech cause laser beams are unreliable, since they can be reflected or absorbed.

the main weapon is a Buster Launcher -(sry, had to go with a traditional RR laser cannon name.) chiefly an energy based weapon, the barrel runs the entire length of the launcher and when in use, the gun splits in two from a set of hinges;like a rail gun.)

it sports various firing modes to expand it range of uses, it can fire a medium-long range beam capable of fully engulfing a mech of standard size, semi automatic for balance of rate of fire and power, full auto less accurate and weaker. later upgrades in the story include a sniper mode, and also works as a reflector, or energy collector using enemy laser shots to recharge the gun -(but works only on human-made laser guns because of similar electronics.) as for melee, the rear of the gun emits a photon-bayonett.

there's a treat for all you fans out there, for school i'll be making a 1/100 kit of this guy, so in a matter of months you should be able to have you own action figure model kit ;D

MMMM ok. yea i love the ZOE designs. i wish there was plastic-injection model kits to buy, cause i'm not a fan of fixed pose resin kits.

i'm more familiar with the names of gundam designers. i think the ones i don't know is the guy who did the designs for 0080... i know he did Patlabor too. i also don't know the name of the designer who did the original robotech valkyries, or even the ones. i learn names when i really find it necessary.

Hmm for some reason I'm getting a Virgo II/ Serpent feeling from this (i.e Gundam Wing). Interesting design and I too love the "heel" design makes them seem more elegant.

also similar to the Aries unit as well.

This looks very awesome. The scheme is pretty military-ish, but I guess it'd stick oyt like a sore thumb when flying against a blue sky background XD

I was thinking that this was a fast-attack unit at first but with all the weapons ... :o So, yeah, heavy assault, huh?

The hidden weapon in the ankle is pretty sneaky, though the MG Astray Blue Frame, and maybe the Infinite Justice, had something similar. Overall, it is very unexpected, since heavy assault units; the modern ones anyway; tend to be range-based attackers. So when the enemy counters with a high-speed melee charge they'll get a nasty surprise :XD:

I really like how you've thought this out. Very impressive

true, but i think any mecha in the sky would easy to spot, especially cause of the boosters.

i know seems a little self contradictory, but it was purely intentional. a highly mobile, heavy artillery unit... who wouldn't want to draw one ;D

in truth, if it weren't for the legs being lightweight (even with the sword) then it would be a purely heavy artillery unit that has moderate mobility. so the lighter legs are allowing for a bigger bang for the buck. otherwise maximum mobility would mean no legs at all... and in this design, i wanted legs.

But wouldn't lightweight legs be murder when landing :?
I imagine that the unit would collapse when touching down after a mission, unless of course, all the ordnance, missiles and all, gets expended :XD:

very good point. the manufacturer makes top quality mecha, so the legs can still function efficiently while standing on one leg (but for only so long. pilots love doing bets of who can stay on one leg the longest.) despite weight and all that jazz, the joint system really is revolutionary on it own. if the shoulders a skirt are disengaged, this unit moves like a frigg'n ninja.
