sorry gang, no big updates on my previous installments (Dark Hunter and Agave heavy armor.) i'm finishing up a painting for my mothers birthday (flowers...)

in the mean time enjoy this SWAT color variation for the Voltair, sorry it doesn't have any SWAT markings... i guess i'll do that in a little bit as a break from the painting.

This thing looks like a GN Flag crossed with a NFL linebacker and maybe a little Tallgeese thrown in for flavor... It's freakin' awesome!

Thx! =D

Your not the only one to have said that the face-plate is much like the GN flag, though it was not intentional, but more or less that I haven't created a catchy "standard" face like Gundam. Plus I like the face-plates from the Halo series, so it's more or less influenced from that.

The shoulders are actually derived from the Gabthley from the Zeta Gundam series (a personal Fav...), and yes, the legs do have a bit of Tallgeese in them, I love that "flared"-triangular thigh and thin shins... Frack'n awesome :D But also, they're that way because I wanted to reduced Drag while flying in Atmosphere, so thin legs were key. The Gundam Wing Aries was also an influence.

Multiple variants exist, infact this head is a custom, and I have yet to design standard version. Many different grades exist as well, varying from conservative to out-right ROCK solid. VERY important people get the ROCK solid version (which take an amazing amount of punishment, but are extremely heavy and require special engines.)

Actually I really like the faceplate. It seems much more practical than designing the "face" to look like a face.
I never really cared for the Gabthley, but I really love what you did with the shoulders on this suit. Between the big shoulders and the way the skirt armor lays it gives a kind of knight in plate armor feel, at least I think so. I can really see where the Tallgeese and the Aries both came through in the legs, and it really does give that feeling that despite the big armor this thing's gonna go fast.
I'm guessing that in this last part you're talking about the story that this suit comes from. Gotta say, I'd love to see the variations.
